Workshop #4

Working with an Architect

Robert will walk you through the stages of Architectural Services (Design/Bid/Build) and explain what will be required of your centre. The workshop will consider how to choose an architect and get through the pre-design and design stages in the process. Robert will discuss preparing an architectural design brief, gathering relevant information, and identifying the professional services, testing, and surveys that you will require. He will also outline how the concept design/schematic design is created: identifying design concepts and options, preparing schematic designs for the preferred option, undertaking a Class D cost estimate, and preparing a preliminary project schedule.
