The Government of Ontario has a new name for Consolidated Municipal Service Managers (CMSMs) and District Social Services Administration Boards (DSSABs) – they will now be called Service System Managers (SSMs).
Here’s what SSMs do:
Central Planning: SSMs now lead the planning of child care services in the province, ensuring they meet community needs.
Funding: They allocate funds to support child care programs, recreational services, and extended day programs.
Administration: SSMs oversee the efficient administration of early years and licensed child care services.
Operations: They manage day-to-day operations to provide high-quality child care services.
