Lloydlondon Architects is a design frm led by Luc Johnston and Nancy Chao. Our studio’s name is borrowed from our hometowns: Lloydminster, AB and London, ON. This name represents the dialogue of our collective memories, our experience coming together to create new ones, and our ethos of merging the humble and grand aspirations of original design. We distinguish our practice by focusing on three guiding principles: context, experience, and material exploration. Taking inspiration from our clients and their project parameters, we develop a narrative that is unique to each project. We do not limit itself to the typical conventions of an architectural practice. Rather we strive for projects that blur the line between art, architecture, and building science. With over a combined 25 years’ experience, and working in both the US and Canada, we have completed projects in a wide range of sectors including: cultural institutions, residences, restaurants, wellness spaces, and offices.
